Exhibition Opening - Interactive Workshop

​

這工作坊提供一平台給公眾去認識有發展和溝通障礙兒童和他們的需要。公眾可自由選取一特殊需要兒童的作品副本，再加上自己對作品的感受而加添上新圖像。工作坊時段內也邀請自願性自閉症及唐氏綜合症兒童及家長參與，使公眾能與他們有直接認識從而對他們心理和生活上的缺失有所認知和了解。透過一起溝通，合作遊戲，及一起繪畫作品而互相建立互動聯繫。讓公眾的同理心感知到對每個他者在社會上都有其價值，尊重，認識，了解，和肯定的平等對待之需要。這工作坊帶出有特殊需要兒童在社會上所需關懷的訊息。期望公眾和有特殊需要的兒童在工作坊中所感受到的友誼，信賴，和分享能帶给不同社會人士對特殊需要兒童的關注。

The workshop provides a platform for public to get to know kids with developmental and communication special needs. Audiences can pick a copy of kids’ work, and then add new images according to their own feelings. The workshop will also invite voluntary families with children suffering from autism and Down's syndrome to interact with the audiences, so that the public can know more about the mental and physical difficulties they face. The workshop will engage participants to communicate, cooperate, play, paint and interact together, which in turn helps the public to empathize with persons with special needs, knowing that everybody should be valued, respected, understood and treated equally. The workshop tells the society that those children need their care. We hope that the friendship, mutual trust and sharing experience built between the public and children with special needs can draw more attention and care from the society. This workshop also promotes and advocates the Big Buddy Volunteer Program.
